Nederlandse wortels
Warner heeft, omdat hij van oorsprong uit Nederland komt, veel banden met dit land. En hoe bijzonder is het dat zijn oud-oom in Giethoorn woonde? Daarom was dit de perfecte setting voor een fijne familiesessie. Compleet met mooi weer, een traditioneel bootje en een pick-nick.
Een actieve familiesessie
En zoals jullie zien, er werd ook gepeddeld, want wat is Hollandser dan vergeten om genoeg benzine mee te nemen en dan zelf te peddelen? Zo werd het nog een hele actieve familiesessie 😉 We eindigden, vlak bij het huisje waar ze verbleven en liepen vervolgens nog een stukje. En na een fijne pick-nick met kaas, Olvarit en appelsap zat de shoot er op. Wat een schatje is die Cordelia he? : )
An English translation
And now for our English speaking guests: this is Cordelia! She came all the way from the United States of America to meet her Dutch Family. Cordelia is Warner and Iris’ daughter, a very nice international couple we met a few years ago. They had this gorgeous wedding at the Roode Koper. And now, about two years later I photographed their baby daughter as well ; )
Warner, originally from Holland, is still very connected with this country. And since his great-uncle used to live in Giethoorn we decided to take some photos near the farm where his ancestor used to live. A perfect setting for a family session. With great weather, a very traditional little boat and a picnic.
And as you can all see: there was some real action as well, because we all kind of forgot to bring extra gasoline for the motor. So Warner had to peddle. Could this photoshoot become any more Dutch 🙂 ? Luckily we weren’t too far away from their holiday home and after a short stroll it was picnic time. With loads of food for Cordelia, apple juice and some great cheese. Isn’t Cordelia adorable?
